設計概念
Design Concepts
主橋設計意涵
諧和融入廣闊開展河口與山巒遠景天際線所構築的豐沛自然景觀，串聯橋址及兩岸的過去、現在與未來，設定「延伸─共存─連接」作為概念關鍵詞；橋型具雄偉尺度而能展現開展大器形態之門戶意象，並與橋址自然景觀相稱。
形態設計
˙夕照在淡逝的神祕光影中，讓人內心不禁興起今日平安度過的寧靜落實感，同時祈求明日亦能平安順遂的思緒與感動。因此，本團隊以「平安、寧靜」來呈現對於「夕陽景觀」的設計概念。
˙在實際橋樑形態與各組成要素部分，以「包容大器、輕盈通透、優雅璞真、光影律動」之具體關鍵詞為理念，進行了設計的檢討作業。
˙將在地文化特色融入橋樑構造細節。
Connotation of Main Bridge
The bridge merges with the rich natural landscape which consists of wide estuary and the skyline of distant mountains. On the other hand, considering the past, the present and the future prospect, the concept keywords of 「EXTENSION – SYMBIOSIS – CONNECTION」 has been set for the project. From these factors, we think bridge type of 「magnificent」 and 「gentle」 is desirable.
Basic Concept of Bridge Shape Design
Sunset is a mysterious moment of the day. Seeing the fading light and shadow, one has a feeling of relief, sense of peace, and the expectation for a tranquil tomorrow. This contemplation brings us the keywords 「 serene and tranquil 「 for our design concept of a bridge against the setting sun.
˙For the overall bridge configuration and respective parts, keywords 「unconstrained, transparent, sincerity, and the light and shadow」 are adopted for examination of our design work.
˙The structure details of the bridge will merge with the local culture.

Splendid History
CECI Engineering Consultants, Inc., Taiwan (hereafter referred to as CECI) was established in 2007 as a reinvested enterprise of China Engineering Consultants, Inc. (founded in 1969) under the 「Act Governing the Administration of Professional Engineering Consulting Firms」 and carries on the consultation business and achievements of its predecessor.
Over the years, with accumulated techniques and experience, CECI continues to grow from its basic engineering services on highway and bridge engineering to virtually all aspects of the engineering spectrum in order to provide more diverse and integrated services. CECI’s achievements can now be found in areas such as railways, airports, harbors, traffic control, rapid transit (metro), environmental engineering, technology plants, architecture, urban planning and land development throughout Taiwan. Through these contributions CECI is both driving and bearing witness to Taiwan’s remarkable pace of development and economic growth. Nippon Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as NE) is an independent consulting firm founded in 1963. With a history of over 50 years, NE have a high reputation in Japan especially in the field of bridges. NE has experienced design of the Akasi Kaikyo Bridge as the world longest suspension bridge and a variety of other long span bridges including suspension bridges, cable‐stayed bridges, and arch bridges. Through its untiring efforts in pursing safe and cost‐efficient bridges, NE has contributed to innovation and development of structural technologies in Japan.
Today, fortified by an accumulated experience, modern technology and a permanent staff over 500 professional and support personnel, NE is always ready to provide its competent services. Its range of services includes reconnaissance, various field investigation, preinvestment study, engineering design, construction supervision and management.
NE has been pursuing realization of aesthetically beautiful and environment‐conscious structures as well as technically‐advanced analysis and design, which contribute to the beautiful landscape in Japan. The strength of NE is exhibited in numerous design awards for innovative and elegant structural designs received from the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) and aesthetic committees.
NE has provided comprehensive consultation services to domestic clients including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Local Governments, privatized Japan Highway Public Corporation, etc., as well as overseas clients. Since the Overseas Department established in 1974, NE has expanded the engineering services especially to Asian countries. The Nhat Tan Bridge, Japan‐Vietnam Friendship Bridge in Hanoi, a cable‐stayed bridge of 1,500m whose design and construction supervision were implemented by NE, opened in January, 2015.
In order to provide services attending to clients with scrupulous care, NE has established its branch offices and representative offices in major towns where offices of the clients are located. NE currently has a head office in Tokyo, six (6) domestic branch offices, nine (9) subbranch offices and thirty four (34) domestic and overseas representative offices.
